Field testing

  • Subgrade bearing capacity by plate load test
  • Compaction — core cutter or sand replacement
  • In-situ California Bearing Ratio (CBR)
  • Fresh concrete at the point of placement

Laboratory testing

  • Strength, deformation and water tightness of hardened concrete
  • Classification of soils and aggregates
  • Density, voids and binder content of asphalt
  • Strength and adhesion of mortars and adhesives

Non-destructive testing

  • Concrete strength in existing structures
  • Location and cover of reinforcement
  • Corrosion potential of reinforcement
  • Coating thickness on steel
